A Windows C11 library for managing protected local application bytes and files.
At a glance
- Explicitly select NONE, CASUAL, or CURRENT_USER protection semantics, each with different security properties.
- Versioned data envelopes and validation for local application data.
- File replacement, one validated backup, read fallback, and explicit migration.
CASUAL is reversible obfuscation, not encryption or attacker-resistant authentication. CURRENT_USER uses Windows DPAPI. NONE provides neither confidentiality nor integrity.
